Paul DiNenna, Jr.

Founding Attorney

I am the founding attorney at DiNenna & Associates. I established this office in 2004 and have practiced family law in Spokane County as well as the surrounding counties in Eastern Washington consistently since then.

I obtained my juris doctorate from the Gonzaga University School of Law in 2003 and obtained my undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in 1995. I am a member of the Family Law Executive Committee, Washington State Bar Association, and am currently serving a two year term. I am also a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Spokane County Bar Association, as well as a member of the Family Law Section of the Spokane County Bar.

I practice family law because the issues call to me. I know of no other area of law as challenging or as important as advocating for and defending the integrity of family, which the Washington State Supreme Court described (and affirmed by the United States Supreme Court in Troxel v. Granville, 530 U.S. 57 (2000)) as, “the core element upon which modern civilization is founded.” In re Custody of Smith, 137, Wn.2d 1, 15, 969 P.2d 21 (1998) certiorari granted 527 U.S. 1069 (1999).

I believe that the law is intended to be a service to those in need. I am committed to my clients, am adamant about protecting them and their children from any and all unfair treatment, and am satisfied only when my clients are happy with the results I have helped obtain for them in all family law matters.

Jennifer E. Wofford

Associate Attorney

I began my passion for the legal system early on, and was driven to become a lawyer. I completed my undergraduate at California State University Sacramento in 2008. I worked with the Federal Defenders Office as an Investigator Intern before applying and being accepted to Gonzaga University School of Law. I graduated from Gonzaga in 2014, but worked in the legal field throughout my time at Gonzaga.

I developed my passion for Family Law when I clerked with the Honorable James Triplett in 2012, where I worked on all aspects of Family Law and helped pro se litigants to complete paperwork. I then worked in the University Law Clinic until I found her home at DiNenna and Associates. I came to the practice in 2013 as a rule 9 legal intern and quickly was welcomed as family. I knew from the start that this firm was the perfect place to be and representative of who I am as an attorney.

I find pride in putting clients before anything and making sure that they are well taken care of, well informed, and allow me to take on the stress of the case so they can relax. DiNenna and Associates takes care of its clients and practices from the heart, we have compassion, and we relate to our clients; this is why I love to be a part of the team. I do all aspects of Family Law and promise to work for our clients best interest.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my husband, three children, and 2 dogs. I love to relax and laugh, catch a good movie, or take a spontaneous trip. When we have time we spend time in California visiting family, including wonderful nieces and a nephews.

Kelly M. Sawyer

Rule 9 Intern

I chose to become a lawyer as a way to do my part to help others. I graduated from Eastern Washington University in June of 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Minor in Social Work. From there, I headed to law school at Gonzaga University School of Law. While attending Gonzaga, I found my home with DiNenna & Associates, P.S., where I was welcomed and encouraged to complete my education, while also becoming a productive member of the Spokane legal community. I graduated from Gonzaga University in December 2018, and will be sitting for the February 2019 Bar Exam.

Upon successful completion of the Bar Exam, I intend to practice family law within the Spokane legal community, with DiNenna & Associates. I enjoy all aspects of family law, especially working with the client to achieve their ultimate goals in each specific case.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. We often enjoy watching movies and relaxing together, as well as taking trips to see new areas of the Pacific Northwest. We also enjoy camping with our two dogs during the summer.
